Shiny Angels is a
picture-focused site that features girls in a variety of latex and lycra
gear. While on many sites latex content typically goes hand-in-hand with
an extreme BDSM or other fetish angle, this one takes the softcore route
of showing, as the site name indicates, sexy shiny angels.
I was interested to see that at this site the latex tends to be one part
of the model’s outfit. So instead of getting gallery after gallery of
girls in catsuits, you might get a latex bra, spandex pants or maybe
even a rubber prop rather than anything on the girl. The shoots rarely
feature anything you’d describe as ultra-kinky. Sometimes the models
muck around with latex dolls, but on the whole the attraction is the
girls and their sexy gear. In fact a few of the galleries have no
obvious latex element whatsoever.
While there is toplessness in several of the galleries (often the girls
take the top off then put it back on, or cover their breasts with their
hands; sometimes they are topless for only the last few images of the
gallery), and very occasional full nudity, most of the content is
non-nude. I found this acceptable on a site dedicated to a particular
clothing fetish. Occasional outdoor shoots or sets with more than one
girl break up the material nicely.
The latest images are digital ones with a good resolution of 1350
pixels, and many of the older ones aren’t demonstrably smaller at 1200
pixels. And there are certainly plenty of galleries to work through,
thanks to a decent update rate of two new galleries every week (though
sometimes galleries are spread over more than one update). Oddly there
is a small archive section with 24 galleries in it; this could easily
have been tagged onto the end of the picture category, but no matter. As
mentioned, videos aren’t the strong suit here - there have been no new
videos since January 2008 in fact - and the few that are offered are
rather basic ones featuring the model simply posing and gyrating.
I didn’t find the rather basic design and navigation too much of a
headache, though the model index is a little unhelpful in that only 16
of the girls are identified by name. The other, sadly anonymous, models
are shoved into a guest section. Most of the content is of the 16 ‘main’
models, in fact, but they’re mostly very pretty meaning you might not
find the lack of variety too frustrating. Overall, although Shiny Angels
obviously isn’t one for video lovers, this good quality softcore
collection of sweet girls in great rubber outfits has plenty to
recommend it.
