Erro (convenient name
for a nudie photographer or what?) is a Slovakian whose work for top
softcore site Met Art has been one of the many reasons for its runaway
success. His exclusive collection has been online for long enough now
that it contains over 100,000 pictures, together with a substantial
amount of high definition video footage. Happily then the indications
are that this is a great solo archive.
Although he doesn’t have an especially distinctive photographic style,
one of the first things you notice about Erro’s photos is the skin tones
of the models. Far too many sites, through either sub-standard equipment
or impaired erotic vision, insist on presenting almost every girl as if
she’s just spent a month passed out on a tanning bed. Not so here: if
the girl has gorgeous pale skin then gorgeous pale skin is what you will
see. Sometimes that leads to images looking just a trace washed out, but
it’s a small price to pay for beautiful, realistic photos. Erro also
uses some fantastic natural settings for capturing the beauty of the
models.
At the date of review, the site claims that its best photo resolution of
7000 pixels is the highest on the net. That seems plausible, but whether
many people will have the technology to view full images at that size is
doubtful. However, if you’ve ever wanted to take a magnifying glass to a
girl but were afraid of her potentially physically/verbally abusive
reaction, this might offer you an alternative. Sharpness isn’t bad at
that remarkably high resolution, but as with other sites expect some
blurring as image sizes reach towards the stratosphere.
A familiar criticism of the video clips on the more artistic sites is
that they’re not very, well, artistic. The same applies here,
unfortunately, with most of them just being films of the photo shoots.
In fact on quite a few you can see the photographer in shot and hear him
barking instructions to the model. Nonetheless they are impressively
crisp, and the quality of the models means you might not care tuppence
for what they’re actually doing. I do feel there might be a market out
there for some more genuinely imaginative video work on sites like this,
however. Thankfully the care taken with lighting and colour in the
photos has been applied to the videos also, with almost perfect
rendering of skin tones on the latest clips.
Erro is clearly an accomplished craftsman, and although you will see his
work elsewhere he is evidently very dedicated to this site, which
updates with a new gallery every day and a new video every week. If one
or two navigational issues could be addressed (videos downloading as ZIP
files, no vidcaps previews for videos), I’d be able to recommend this
very nicely presented site almost without reservation.
