Even if you don’t know
his name, chances are you’ll have seen some of his stuff. Denys
Defrancesco is the founder of porn heavyweight DDF Productions, home to
such erotic treats as Hands on Hardcore, DDF Busty and Hot Legs and
Feet. 1 By Day, which is arguably his flagship site, has been around
pretty much since the turn of the century, and has since then ascended
to the top of the toppermost in terms of glamour content on the net.
Denys has something of an old-school style, by which I mean orthodox
scenes featuring attractive, glammed-up girls and a strong emphasis on
production values. He employs mainly eastern European models, mostly
familiar faces (and bodies) that you’ll see on other mainstream sites
out there like Only Cuties and Als Scan. Solo masturbation scenes
outnumber hardcore and lesbian ones quite markedly, but such is the
amount of content that this site might be worth a look even if you’re
only interested in the harder stuff. Other solo content includes a large
amount of casting videos, which are usually less explicit, and a fair
number of sybian scenes. Denys doesn’t doll his models up on the casting
sets, meaning this content has a more natural look which some may find
more appealing. Denys is quite a fan of clichéd erotic themes, so expect
plenty of scenes with girls dressed as nurses and so on.
Quality is predictably excellent. The pictures are stylish and usually
very crisp, though some galleries have an orangey-pink glow, something
that seems to characterise a fair bit of content from this bunch. Video
resolution and sharpness are usually fine, though this is now to be
expected in this niche. High definition content has been offered since
July 2007 (older material is now placed in an archive section, in fact),
and although not every update is in this glorious-looking resolution,
there are by now well over half a thousand HD clips I would guess, which
is by any standards a massive amount. Videos are typically around 15
minutes long (shorter for the casting videos, longer for the hardcore
scenes). The archived videos are cut up into 2-minute chunks, which may
account for the perhaps slightly inflated advertised figure of over
28,000 scenes, but the latest stuff is the real selling point.
Turning to the site itself, the design is suitably professional, though
the lilac colour scheme might appear vaguely unattractive to some.
Navigation options are good, with three different thumbnail sizes to
choose from and a choice too of number of thumbs per page. The
individual model pages are nicely done, containing thumbnails of each
gallery and video, a description of the scene and links to either just
picture or video content. The search engine is also very helpful, with
an unusually wide range of criteria with which to narrow down the vast
amount of content.
In short, 1 By Day ticks pretty much all of the boxes: great looking
girls and lots of them, high professional standards and a great update
rate. It’s perfect for those who are chiefly into solo content but like
a smidgen of harder stuff too every once in a while. At the moment, this
is by itself one of the best sites around, so when you factor in the
inclusion of the other sites in the DDF Prod network in the membership
fee, you’re looking at a real steal.
